About LCP

LCP is the trading name of Language Centre Publications Limited, which was started in 1993 by Ron Gellért-Binnie and Rita Smith.

As its name suggests, it was originally a publishing house specialising in Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) provision for schools. However, while maintaining an ever-stronger position in the MFL field, the company has diversified and excelled in other areas of the school curriculum, especially within the primary school sector.

For many years now LCP has produced resources for teaching for Art and Design, ICT and Technology, Geography, History, Music, Mathematics, Languages, Literacy, Phonics, Physical Education, PSHE & Citizenship, Religious Education and Science. In addition to this, it has a range of cross-curricular resources, including materials for Learning Outside the Classroom and Special Educational Needs.

With its wealth of educational experience, LCP made a natural progression into school management producing resources to help headteachers and senior leaders, school governors and other teaching staff manage their school more effectively. This includes LCP's new Teachers Friend Series of books, the innovative primary pupil tracking service - iTRACK Primary - and other data assessment tools.

From small beginnings, the company now occupies some 12,000 square feet of office and warehouse space in Royal Leamington Spa, Warwickshire.

Still privately owned and run for the benefit of school leaders, teachers and students throughout the UK and overseas, LCP is proud to say that it's one of the UK’s most successful educational publishing houses!
